How Geometric Yuga Imagery Became a Reality

After more than 30 years working in the corporate world, where marketing and training photography were a big part of my responsibilities, I thought I’d put my camera away for good — until my grandchildren got involved with dance and sports. Like any proud grandparent, I found myself back on the sidelines, capturing the action and, every grin.

What started as a way to freeze memories for my family quickly turned into something more. I upgraded my gear and media storage so I could share these moments not just with my own family but with every parent on the team. Soon I was photographing entire games, giving families private access to the action shots they didn’t even know they were missing — the hustle, the heart, the moments that slip by in the blink of an eye.

But I didn’t stop there. With a new photo printer in hand, I started designing custom Athlete Spotlight posters for my grandson’s baseball team — bold, dynamic keepsakes that turned everyday plays into hero highlights. The response was overwhelming. Parents were thrilled to see their kids celebrated like pros, larger than life and ready to hang on their walls.

Then, at the end of the season, one simple question changed everything: “Can you print these on-site?”

That single idea sparked the challenge — and the opportunity — that became Geometric Yuga Imagery: a youth sports photography business built to capture stunning action shots, design custom Athlete Spotlight posters, and print them right there at the game or tournament. No waiting. No hassle. Just unforgettable memories delivered on the spot.

What started with one camera and one proud grandparent now shines a spotlight on young athletes and gives families keepsakes they’ll treasure for years to come.
